About the company:

Over millions of years, silicate rock weathering has regulated Earth’s climate. By crushing silicate rocks and spreading them on agricultural soils - an approach called Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) - we can accelerate Earth’s natural process into a solution capable of addressing the urgency of climate change.

Existing agricultural and silicate rock sites - namely 5,000+ global silicate rock quarries surrounded by agricultural land - have the potential to remove billions of tonnes of CO2 with enhanced rock weathering. Despite this potential, ERW hasn’t scaled given the extraordinary scientific, technological, and operational challenges involved. Terradot, founded out of the Stanford ecosystem, is addressing these challenges by advancing the science, building the technology, and assembling the coalition needed to make this potential a reality.

We’ve started in Brazil – one of the world’s most optimal locations for ERW thanks to its tropical soils, strength in agriculture, and clean electricity grid. There, we are building the most ambitious ERW hub to date. This hub will drive the necessary breakthroughs in ERW science, ensuring every tonne of carbon dioxide removed is measured and tracked with certainty.

These insights will power digital tools for the optimization and verification of carbon removal projects, enabling the replicability of these hubs globally If successful, this approach will uniquely and rapidly catalyze global-scale carbon removal, enabling the transformation of [300] such quarries in Brazil and [5,000+] global quarries into carbon removal hubs.

Terradot has assembled a growing team of leading scientists and engineers with decades of published research (over 100,000 citations on ERW) and hands-on expertise in related fields, providing unmatched experience to drive advancements in ERW.

The Quarry Relationship Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with quarries to secure high-quality feedstock critical to Terradot’s operations. This role is key to negotiating contracts, managing long-term relationships, and aligning quarry capabilities with our ambitious goals for Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) deployments. By leveraging their expertise in the mining sector, particularly in aggregates and remineralizers, the Quarry Relationship Manager will ensure sustainable supply chains and scalable operations.

Location: São Paulo, Brazil, or close to project hubs with flexible remote work arrangements when not traveling.

Languages: Fluent Portuguese required; English proficiency preferred.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with quarries to ensure a sustainable supply of feedstock for ERW operations.

  • Negotiate contracts with quarries, clearly defining quality standards, timelines, and responsibilities to meet operational goals.

  • Evaluate and document quarry capabilities, including stock availability, production capacity, and beneficiation methods, while maintaining an organized partner database.

  • Collaborate with the scientific team to identify opportunities to optimize quarry operations, improving feedstock quality.

  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate feedstock shortages, ensuring long-term scalability and reliability of supply chains.

  • Act as a liaison between quarries and Terradot’s internal teams, facilitating communication and alignment on project goals.

  • Monitor and report on quarry performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms and Terradot’s operational standards.

Background and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in the mining sector, ideally in aggregates or remineralizers, or with mining machinery suppliers.

  • Proven knowledge of production processes, beneficiation methods, machinery costs, and material characteristics in quarry operations.

  • Advanced negotiation and contract management skills; proficiency in analyzing production costs and operational feasibility.

  • Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field preferred but not required with equivalent experience.

  • Database  management skills and familiarity with tools to track and evaluate quarry key indicators.

Personal Attributes:

  • A strategic thinker who can align quarry capabilities with Terradot’s long-term goals.

  • Highly adaptable and able to work with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to commercial leaders.

  • A strong communicator with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and relationship management.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

  • Passionate about contributing to sustainability and innovative carbon removal solutions.
