Procurement/ Buyer's Agent

GreenLight Biosciences is a public benefit company using RNA to create a world where plants, people, and the planet can thrive together. The company is developing highly effective agricultural solutions for farmers and beekeepers that are targeted to specific pests and degrade quickly in the environment. Our pipeline includes products to protect honeybees and a range of fruits and vegetables. The GreenLight platform allows us to research, design, and manufacture across multiple product categories including insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides. 

Responsibilities:

• Issue and revise purchase orders for equipment, services, and general purchases
• Compile and maintain information and records to prepare purchase orders
• Document & track order confirmations and follow up on orders as needed
• Manages the day-to-day communication with vendors related to purchase orders
• Communicates effectively with all departments and external suppliers regarding any purchasing related issues in a timely manner
• Provide general project management support related to purchasing activities 
• Assists Finance with Issues Log for aligning invoice and purchase orders  
• Contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and maintain key relationships
• Aid Finance with vendor onboarding process
• Display high levels of customer service collaborating with internal customers
• Serve as a backup to customer service operations with order placement and fielding calls as needed
• To manage multiple topics in fast-paced environment and deal with different stakeholders from across domains in the organization
• Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
• Position is located in RTP, NC potential to be a Hybrid Position will require regular onsite work 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related discipline is required
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to juggle multiple, urgent requests
• Strong interpersonal & customer service skills and a team-centric mentality
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, a plus but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
• In office position, not remote
