About this role:

The Test Facility Site Manager will support the day-to-day management of Heliogen’s Lancaster Test Site working closely with our engineering and manufacturing departments.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and manage a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and plant operators
  • Assist with the development of a state of the art solar thermal testing facility
  • Oversee the execution of a wide range of testing up to and including the operation of a full scale solar thermal receiver and associated heliostat field

What's essential:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience of people management
  • 10+ years of experience at a power generating or industrial process facility (that includes hands-on process engineering, plant start-up and commissioning, plant troubleshooting, and process optimization)
  • Experience with process instrumentation and controls
  • Experience with selection and installation of process fluid handling equipment - pumps, blowers, piping, and ductwork
  • Experience with electrical distribution up to 5kv
  • Strong organizational ability (including ability to manage deliverables and timeline for execution) to achieve project goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, or similar applications

Desirable:

  • Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds with chemical process industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with implementation of new technologies.

California only full-time salary range between $140,000 - $170,000 + equity + benefits.
