About the company:

You will be based in San Carlos, CA.
<4-6 month session> Fall 2023 Session
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work on a team of software engineers and data scientists developing our core Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) – a custom web application used by scientists across the company.
- Translate user requirements into clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Build new UI features to allow scientists to easily log, retrieve, and visualize scientific data from the browser.
- Contribute to development of API services to access multiple stores of data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
- 2+ years experience developing full-stack web applications. A combination of relevant coursework and prior industry or research experience is acceptable.
- Experience developing user interfaces using JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS. Prior experience with front-end application frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is a plus.
- Familiarity with relational databases and experience working with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server.
- Prior experience developing REST APIs and backend services using Node.js is a plus.
- Prior internship or work experience in a start-up is a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- [San Carlos, CA Zone] Intern: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
- $1500 transportation stipend will be provided
Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
