Electric Hydrogen is looking for an exceptional Senior Desktop Support Specialist to be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, fulfilling requests, and resolving Incidents for computer hardware and software applications.
All work of the Senior Desktop Support Specialist is conducted within regulatory guidelines and industry best practices. This role is 100% onsite at our Natick, MA office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct customer service activities deskside with individual users or over remote access software
• Image and build Windows computers, MacBooks and iPad devices per EH2 standards
• Triage ticket queue and coordinate incident resolution with internal and external support providers
• Document work in a ticketing system and create ticket reports
• Conduct technology training for end users
• Support conference room technology and assist with meeting setups
• Assist with provisioning and termination of user accounts
• Deploy desktop, laptop, printer and scanner devices
• Participate in hardware evaluation and software/application testing
• Create technical documentation and knowledge base articles
• Maintain inventory of assigned equipment and supplies in the IT storage areas
• Complete all activities in accordance with approved SOPs and IT guidelines
• Share process improvement ideas wherever appropriate
• Support enterprise computer systems and conduct troubleshooting, as needed
• Support laboratory systems and conduct troubleshooting, as needed
• Responsible for additional tasks as assigned IT management
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 years' experience working in a technical computing environment in a fast-paced company
• Solid understanding computers, servers, networks, Wi-Fi, Zoom Rooms, Audio Visual setups and software applications
• Strong technology troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a lab environment and with R&D applications
• Ability to work onsite in compliance with EH2 Health & Safety protocols
• Completion of a technology degree or comparable certifications like MCP, ACMT, CompTIA A+, ITIL
• Experience working with a ticketing system
• Responds quickly and accurately to all client requests
• Experience working with and administering configuration management platforms – SCCM, Intune, Apple Business Manager, JAMF
• Experience working with and administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange
• Experience with scripting – PowerShell, Bash
• Anticipates unique customer service needs and plans support accordingly
• Comfortable as a presenter with experience delivering end user training
• Participate in an on-call rotation outside of normal business hours
COMPENSATION:
Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
