Archer is designing, manufacturing, and operating a fully electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150mph while producing minimal noise. Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:

  • Create 3D CAD drawings and specifications
  • Making calculations about loads and stresses.
  • Selecting appropriate construction materials.
  • Providing technical advice.
  • Work closely with engineering department within the company to ensure feasibility
  • Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
  • Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
  • Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team                       
  • Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
  • Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration

What you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly-regulated environment
  • Strong communication
  • Strong team player
  • Solid analytical and computer skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility
