As a Manufacturing Technician, you will build and test electrolyzer cells and stacks. This will involve hand-assembly of sub-components, integration of sub-components into an electrolyzer stack, and all of the related pressure and electrical testing. As one of the first manufacturing technicians in the company, you will also help shape our manufacturing and testing processes to enable us to scale. You will work as a part of the manufacturing team and help us build our products and our processes. You will contribute to manufacturing and design, and work with engineering to ensure we are identifying and solving problems as soon as they come up. As a small company, daily tasks can and will be varied; our work will be focused around our goal of ensuring deep decarbonization!

You have a background in pressure systems, electro-mechanical assemblies, or other high-tech integrated assemblies. The Manufacturing Technician role is very safety-focused and committed to working in a collaborative team environment to achieve manufacturing goals.

You will be based in our Natick office and report to our Lab Operations Manager.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate test equipment including high-pressure setups and electrical testing
  • Assemble a variety of sub-components, and final assembly of electrolyzer stacks
  • Operate automated equipment
  • Use manual hand and power tools
  • Read and follow to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
  • Complete documentation in the course of work, including manufacturing documentation, test logs, and test reports
  • Operate material handling equipment, including manual and electric power lift tables

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES

  • Committed to safety and able to follow established safety guidelines
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2+ years of experience within a manufacturing assembly position; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
  • Experience working with engineers to develop or improve designs or processes
  • High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • High level of workmanship
  • Ability to perform computer transactions accurately
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office software programs
  • Team player with a positive communication style
  • Must be able to stand, sit, twist, reach and perform repetitive motions
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds unassisted
