The Role:

Airworthiness and Safety play an essential part in the certifiability of aerospace products. When developing new and innovative technology, it is essential to demonstrate that these products are developed to meet stringent regulatory requirements, set by the airworthiness authority.

We are looking for an outstanding Airworthiness Engineer Intern with a strong interest in aircraft certification and the regulatory requirements to develop a revolutionary aerospace product, to join our innovative team in Munich and shape the future of advanced air mobility.

In this position, you will have the exciting opportunity to work within Lilium’s Airworthiness Department, working across various systems and product teams to develop a novel aircraft.

Your Day to Day:

  • Assist in development and review of certification packages to achieve product and type design certification.
  • Assist in generation of performance and progress reports of certification tasks.
  • Assist in preparation of regulatory meeting material, in support of technical meetings with the airworthiness authorities.
  • Support on the coordination of project certification activities as required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Design Organisation Handbook procedures.
  • Support the maintenance of the DOA records, engineering files and company records.

Your profile:

  • Strong motivation to contribute the product certification and airworthiness process.
  • Mechanical, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering student with an outstanding academic track record is beneficial.
  • Any knowledge of Aircraft Certification and Development Assurance is beneficial.
  • Literate in Office software and documentation control systems
  • Confident in delivering information in presentations
  • Ability to work a minimum of 6 months full time required; 12 months desired
