Our team is looking for local candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area for our Facilities Safety Manager role. Your main responsibilities are to coordinate, develop, and oversee our OSHA program, ensuring that our policies are compliant. You will have daily interaction with site leadership to ensure OSHA regulations are adhered to.

You will be based in our office in San Carlos, CA with oversight of our San Jose site and supporting our Natick, MA site. You will report to our Facilities Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Minimum 8 years of EHS experience
  • Provide safety training
  • perform safety inspections
  • develop written safety programs
  • High attention to NFPA 70E standards
  • CAL/OSHA 30 hour certification at a minimum
  • Ability to research new regulations and create coherent plans based on them
  • Preferably experience in a variety of capacities touching on training, education, compliance, safety, and the like
  • Ability to influence a team of diverse individuals while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e.: word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Operate in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Participate in and contribute to project planning to address hazards from multiple work crews in one area and potential impacts
  • Manage Fire/ Life Safety Program including emergency evacuation program, equipment, regulatory / compliance
  • Audits and training
  • Work directly with HR, Facilities and other Department Managers to coordinate Health & Safety, including inspections, corrective actions, and developing relevant accident prevention materials

REQUIREMENTS

  • CSMP Certification (Certified Safety Management Practitioner)
  • HAZWOPER certification (40-hour)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e.: Electrical Engineering) is preferred
  • Bi-Lingual is a plus
  • Flexible with travel 10%~ ( Bay area sites and potentially to our Boston/Natick facilities)
