We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an IT Director. You have experience providing support to on-site and remote team members and will help guide the direction of our technology operations through strategic planning, effective leadership and program oversight. Successful candidates can showcase strategic and business information management requirements across the organization and implement technology solutions to meet changing needs. This role will report directly to the VP of Business Operations and report out on systems, new technology, capital investment needs, and provide feedback on continuous improvement.

You will be based at our facility in Natick, MA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage IT team, including hiring, direct supervision, facilitating collaboration among departments and managing employee concerns and performance
  • Lead IT strategic and operational initiatives to achieve business goals by fostering innovation and aligning Information Technology and Information Security with the business
  • Work with stakeholders to identify technology needs and provide solutions to support the company's goals and objectives as we continue to scale
  • Spearhead the company's IT security strategy including hardware, software, and policy that are a best-fit to the organization in both capability and cost
  • Prioritize IT projects and coordinate the evaluation, deployment, maintenance and management of current and future IT systems across the organization
  • Oversee IT compliance activities including external audits, regulatory compliance projects, and overall information security reviews
  • Direct the effective delivery of networks, development and disaster recovery systems and processes
  • Monitor external threat environment and provide feedback and advise executive team on appropriate measures and preventive maintenance
  • Create and monitor metrics and reporting frameworks to measure the efficiency, effectiveness, and maturity of all programs
  • Coordinate IT tasks, such as software updates, to ensure maximum availability and minimal downtime
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and IT policies and governance for core IT, applications, data, security, etc.
  • Oversee departmental finances, including budgeting, forecasting and capital projects
  • Lead efforts to improve IT processes
  • Communicate with other departments when there is a problem
  • Work with external vendors and advisors
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of experience in an Information Technology and information security role, with 4+ years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience leading IT infrastructure projects, implementation, and upgrades, while supporting existing technology
  • Knowledge of common information security frameworks including but not limited to ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, CCPA, GDPR, NIST-CSF
  • Experience working with and administering configuration management platforms – SCCM, Intune, Apple Business Manager, JAMF
  • Experience working with and administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Salesforce and manufacturing systems
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Certifications including MCP, ACMT, CompTIA A+, ITIL
  • Background in energy/climate related businesses
  • Experience working with deeply technical engineering team colleagues
  • Passionate about decarbonization
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • [Natick Zone] Director, Information Technology: $183,000 - $200,000 per year
Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
