We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead a cross functional team of engineers with diverse backgrounds in Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Manufacturing Planning, Automation Engineering, and Tool Engineering focused on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), manufacturing process development, and production support</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the manufacturing planning organization through detailed manufacturing work plan development for the entire aircraft production system in collaboration with the Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work in a fast paced and flexible environment</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the development of standard processes and documentation for the Manufacturing Engineering department including manufacturing work plan authoring guide, tool definition requirements, producibility guidelines, etc.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the development of the production system design for the structural aircraft and systems</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage tooling and equipment suppliers and integrators through production system design and implementation</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support manufacturing on the shop floor&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develops and implements cost effective and improved processes for Lean production and tooling methodologies</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Analyzes design/build concepts, to evaluate a producible design/build definition and investigates alternative solutions to meet producibility requirements</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assists in providing input to the program plan to ensure that producibility activities and deliverables are incorporated</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Be a collaborative partner who drives change and establishes standardization of ME deliverables in order to achieve functional excellence</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perform technical data analysis related to product workflow, manpower forecasting, and manufacturing performance</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop, coach and mentor ME’s to ensure they understand roles &amp; responsibilities, provide performance feedback, develop a career roadmap and partner with them on their career aspirations</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Establish KPIs in order to drive performance management, identify trends and mitigate risks, and support manufacturing as well as other departments&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Leads continuous improvement activities&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with Industrial Engineering to keep track of all manufacturing crew loads and standards and work with the manufacturing team to improve efficiency and streamline processes</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build and recruit your team to meet defined staffing and budget requirements</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with quality to ensure inspection methods are defined and standards are established</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Plan and assign work strategies in the production schedule that covers maintenance of process equipment and inspection at proper intervals</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist with equipment installations and project planning</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Need</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BS or MS Degree in Engineering or a related field</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">7+ years experience developing aerospace products</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">4+ years experience leading a Manufacturing Engineering team</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work instruction development experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Process and documentation development experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manufacturing Engineering and/or Tool/Automation Engineering experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Structural or systems installation support experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent organizational and communication skills</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proven track record as an inspirational leader who invests and develops others</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to understand, apply and implement concepts and lean tools&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrate potential to design, analyze and implement industrial engineering techniques</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">FAR 23 experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Part 21 experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Working under an FAA Production Certificate</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Standing up a new production facility&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience in automation and robotics&nbsp;</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">Archer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
