The role

You are a strategic and experienced leader to hold the ownership for our People function within a fixed-term parental leave replacement for 18 months, starting in November/December this year. As VP People & Organization (f/m/d), you oversee the end-to-end employee experience at envelio and represent the department in the management team. You are enthusiastic about enabling and supporting a strong team with currently six people, from recruiting talent to managing employee development, and establishing and guiding an open, healthy and sustainable company culture. 

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • You will provide leadership and guidance on all people-related matters, ensuring the development of topics and programs that attract, retain, and develop our talent 
  • You develop a deep understanding of the organization’s needs and priorities and create and execute a People strategy in line with our overall objectives and your budget 
  • You oversee the full employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition to offboarding processes 
  • You lead and support a team of People professionals that consists of a Generalist People Manager, an Employer Branding Manager, a Talent Acquisition team of three people, and Working Students 
  • You will be the strategic partner and coach to the other department VPs as well as the C-level management in all people-related matters, providing guidance in further developing our organizational setup, identifying skill gaps and hiring needs 
  • You are a direct report to the CEO and a member of our management team, where you actively contribute to business strategy and goals 
  • You actively support the development of our culture and values that supports employee engagement and satisfaction 

What you need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a leader in a People role, preferably within a fast-paced and growing company 
  • In-depth and practical knowledge within one or more of the following key domains: learning and development, state-of-the art org building, recruiting, People best practices or global mobility and hiring 
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how the People function creates best value for the business 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels 
  • Experience in driving cultural progression and building an inclusive working atmosphere 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-based arguments and decisions 
  • Proactive approach as well as a can-do mentality 
  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
