About the company:

Over millions of years, silicate rock weathering has regulated Earth’s climate. By crushing silicate rocks and spreading them on agricultural soils - an approach called Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) - we can accelerate Earth’s natural process into a solution capable of addressing the urgency of climate change.

Existing agricultural and silicate rock sites - namely 5,000+ global silicate rock quarries surrounded by agricultural land - have the potential to remove billions of tonnes of CO2 with enhanced rock weathering. Despite this potential, ERW hasn’t scaled given the extraordinary scientific, technological, and operational challenges involved. Terradot, founded out of the Stanford ecosystem, is addressing these challenges by advancing the science, building the technology, and assembling the coalition needed to make this potential a reality.

We’ve started in Brazil – one of the world’s most optimal locations for ERW thanks to its tropical soils, strength in agriculture, and clean electricity grid. There, we are building the most ambitious ERW hub to date. This hub will drive the necessary breakthroughs in ERW science, ensuring every tonne of carbon dioxide removed is measured and tracked with certainty.

These insights will power digital tools for the optimization and verification of carbon removal projects, enabling the replicability of these hubs globally If successful, this approach will uniquely and rapidly catalyze global-scale carbon removal, enabling the transformation of [300] such quarries in Brazil and [5,000+] global quarries into carbon removal hubs.

Terradot has assembled a growing team of leading scientists and engineers with decades of published research (over 100,000 citations on ERW) and hands-on expertise in related fields, providing unmatched experience to drive advancements in ERW.

Position: Technical Product Manager (MRV)

Location: In person in San Francisco, CA, with frequent travel to Brazil

Languages: English Required

This role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) products, ensuring they evolve from scientific research into scalable, working solutions. By bridging the gap between science, engineering, and data teams, this role will drive the delivery of our 0-1 MRV and lay the foundation for future iterations. Success in this role will accelerate the pace of innovation, streamline processes, and allow our technical experts to focus on solving core challenges while ensuring the MRV system scales efficiently and cost-effectively.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 0-1 MRV Product – Own the execution of the first commercial MRV products, ensuring we generate the data needed to register carbon credits and scale confidently.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution – Coordinate efforts across physical science, data science, and engineering to align priorities, remove bottlenecks, and accelerate progress.

  • Develop & Maintain Roadmap – Create a clear and credible roadmap for future versions of Terradot’s MRV products, setting the foundation for a more scalable and lower-cost system while continually decreasing measurement uncertainty.

  • Implement Agile & Execution Processes – Establish sprint rituals, tracking mechanisms, and development swimlanes to ensure smooth execution across teams.

  • Close Engineering Gaps – Work with recruiting and leadership to identify and hire the right engineering talent needed to scale MRV effectively.

  • Scale Analytical Measurement Capacity – Develop a cohesive strategy for process scale-up (including field, lab & data), ensuring that research and validation efforts translate into scalable systems while maintaining quality.

  • Accelerate MRV Team Productivity – Remove administrative and execution burdens from technical experts, allowing them to focus on solving core scientific and engineering challenges.

Background and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical program management, product management, or engineering leadership, ideally in climate tech, ag-tech, deep tech, or scientific software.

  • Proven ability to lead 0-1 product execution in a highly technical, ambiguous, and multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Strong technical background with experience managing engineering, data, and scientific teams (e.g., software, data pipelines, or research-based products).

  • Experience in agile methodologies, sprint execution, and roadmap planning.

  • Familiarity with MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) systems or similar data-driven frameworks is a plus.

  • Experience working in agricultural systems or scaling ag-tech products is a plus

  • Experience scaling early-stage research into operational systems is a strong advantage.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strategic thinker who can balance short-term execution with long-term vision.

  • Highly collaborative leader who thrives in a cross-functional environment, working closely with scientists, engineers, and leadership.

  • Strong problem solver who excels at breaking down complex challenges into structured, executable solutions.

  • Action-oriented and outcome-driven, with a bias toward moving fast and removing roadblocks.

  • Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate uncertainty and shifting priorities in a fast-paced space.

  • Excellent communicator, able to translate technical challenges into clear priorities and execution plans.

This role is an opportunity to shape the future of MRV systems and carbon removal technology while working with an ambitious, mission-driven team. If you’re excited about accelerating the transition to scalable carbon removal solutions, we’d love to hear from you!

About Terradot:

Our mission is to stabilize Earth’s climate by transforming nature’s most powerful permanent carbon removal process into a global climate solution. By advancing science, building technology, and assembling a global coalition, we are catalyzing a global initiative to scale Enhanced Rock Weathering within the next decade, starting in Brazil.

Founded out of the Stanford University ecosystem, Terradot is led by the world’s leading experts to advance the science and technology of ERW. Our unique structure bridges industry, academia, and government and allows our team to contribute with speed & scale. We have raised $58.2M in total funding from John Doerr, Sheryl Sandberg & Tom Bernthal, George Roberts, Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund, Google, Cisco and Venture Funds, Floodgate, Kleiner Perkins, Acre Venture Partners, Gigascale Capital, Valor Capital, Ponderosa Ventures and others. We have sold ~300,000 tons in offtakes from leading CDR buyers like Frontier and Google.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
