About the company:

Exowatt is a next generation renewable energy company offering commercial and industrial customers a modular full-stack energy solution that can provide dispatchable power and heat for up to 24 hours per day, specifically designed to meet the needs of energy-intensive applications such as data centers. Our mission is clear, to make sustainable renewable energy always available and almost free.

Exowatt is revolutionizing the energy landscape for the AI era with our groundbreaking P3 system that captures solar energy, stores it as heat, and generates electricity on demand. Founded in 2023 and backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Sam Altman, and Felicis, we're committed to providing clean, modular, and scalable power that meets the rapidly growing demands of AI infrastructure. Our mission is to make sustainable renewable energy always available and almost free, enabling technological advancement while protecting our planet.

As a Supply Chain & Manufacturing Intern focused on Contract Manufacturing Vendors, you'll work directly with our Supply Chain & Manufacturing team to develop and manage the external partners who build components for our P3 modules. You'll get real exposure to supplier negotiations, manufacturing process development, and the fabrication methods behind our technology — and your work will directly shape how we scale production.

This role is in-person at our Austin facility.

What You'll Do

  • Support supplier negotiations, including quoting, cost analysis, and vendor evaluation
  • Contribute to process and assembly development for P3 modules, working with vendors to translate designs into repeatable, scalable manufacturing processes
  • Work with metal, glass, and ceramic fabrication methods and equipment, assessing vendor capabilities and supporting quality and process improvements
  • What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Interest in supplier management and negotiation, with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Exposure to or strong interest in manufacturing process and assembly development
  • Familiarity with metal, glass, and ceramic fabrication methods and equipment (coursework, projects, or hands-on experience)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment spanning the factory floor and vendor sites
  • Why Exowatt

You'll help build the supply chain behind one of the fastest-moving companies in clean energy, with direct mentorship from the team scaling our manufacturing operations.
