Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:
- Position: Sourcing Manager – Avionics and Flight control systems. Full time. Based in Archer HQ.
- In partnership with key internal stakeholders, source and develop the strategic and tactical Avionics and Flight Control Systems supply base, through the management of the RFx process, supplier contracts negotiations, and management.
- Increase the value of the Avionics and Flight Control Systems supply base while decreasing the total cost of ownership for Archer.
- Manage the overall business relationship with the Avionics and Flight control systems supply base and the development of productive and collaborative partnerships. Act as primary point of escalation for the Avionics and Flight Control Systems supply base.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Strategic Sourcing policies, procedures, and processes.
- Work closely with the respective departments to continuously improve the department policies and procedures in order to enhance organizational value and efficiency.
- Travel: 20%.
What you need:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply chain
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in the Aerospace industry. Experience in sourcing Avionics and Flight Control Systems a plus
- Results-oriented and metrics-driven, with experience in sourcing, cost negotiation, contract negotiation, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly-regulated environment
- Solid analytical and computer skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong team player
- Demonstrated flexibility
Bonus Qualifications:
- APICS certification
- SQL
