In this role, you will:
Lead the small to medium (SMB) installer sales team that consists of talented sales reps in 5 regions nationally.
Develop and execute the sales and marketing strategy for the SMB segment nationally - be both strategic and tactical through the sales process to ensure customer activation and conversion.
Monitor sales outcomes and identify new opportunities and/or corrections to the strategy and quickly execute to deliver desired outcomes.
Support installers in SPAN’s Authorized Installer Program, including identifying participants for the lead pass program, sales coaching, and performance reviews to ensure program success - great experiences for both homeowners and installers.
Manage the SMB forecast with a clear understanding of the impact on the roll-up to the national forecast.
Be creative and thoughtful with the goal of engaging contractors in new and exciting ways that impact their business and SPAN revenue.
Work cross-functionally to ensure that the regional teams are supported in delivering the outcomes necessary for success - sales/installer ops, finance, marketing, etc.
Build a high-performing team and develop sales talent to become future leaders at SPAN.
The SMB installer sales team and leader are critical to our success. We are explicity looking for someone that has a can-do attitude and is excited to roll-up their sleeves to do what is necessary to make our network of installers successful. Our team is quickly growing so be prepared for responsibilities to evolve over time.
We are seeking an experienced and driven sales professional with:
5+ years in a B2B sales leadership or account management role, with people management
Proficient in development of go-to-market strategies and/or the development of installer networks to deliver on revenue and install quotas.
Past experience selling electrical, HVAC, solar, or storage hardware and/or software, with the ability to quickly come up to speed on technical details and explain it to external audiences.
Demonstrated focus, tenacity, and grit, with a proven track record of successfully developing accounts
Expertise in Salesforce CRM, marketing, and sales engagement tools.
Proficiency in sales forecasting and pipeline management in CRM.
Experience coaching and developing sales talent
Exceptional verbal, written, and cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to effectively interact across all communication channels, both virtually and in-person.
Available to travel domestically 10 days per month.
Undergraduate or Master's degree in sales, business, marketing, engineering, or equivalent experience.
Marketing experience to develop and deliver national marketing campaigns in the B2B space
Experience with 2-step distribution in HVAC or Electrical markets
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 plus a target annual commission of 50% of the total base salary, plus benefits and equity. This range represents SPAN’s good faith estimate of competitively-priced salary for the role based on national, real-time industry data from companies of a similar growth stage. This range reflects minimum and maximum new hire salaries for the role across US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location and individual factors including relevant skills, experience and education or training. This range correlates to the relative level of the candidate we believe we need for the role and may require an adjustment for candidates of a different level.
