Your role and your team: 

This role will be part of the Program team within Operations, which is responsible for the delivery of our aircraft programs. You will report directly to the VP Program Management and work closely with an Integrated Project Team, IPT Lead, Project Controller, Work Package Leads, manufacturing, supply chain and the central PMO.   You will be responsible for the Project Management of the delivery of the aircraft Energy system; including planning, coordinating, reporting, and managing risks and issues across the program.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the fastest, most well-funded and exciting companies in the world and join the exciting journey of the Lilium Jet.  In this role you will use your experience of managing complex fast-paced aerospace projects to help project manage the team to deliver Lilium's projects on time and draw-upon your knowledge of project management best practice to support the development of our PM community.

 Your day to day:

  • Project Manage the development and delivery of the Energy System scope across the entire development cycle
  • Coordinate the team and manage schedules, risks, costs, change control and reporting as needed.  Identify and support the fast resolution of issues as they arise
  • Seek to identify and implement continuous improvement activities in the project team and share best practice and lessons learned across programs
  • Communicate actions, priorities, and status clearly and succinctly across the project team
  • Contribute to the creation of a strong Program Management function through implementing best practice project management processes, methods and tools within the teams with which you work in line with guidance from the PMO

 Your Profile: 

  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in a technical field (e.g. Engineering) or experience in a technical aerospace environment in lieu
  • Strong proven Project Management skills with a minimum of 5 years Project Management experience, ideally within an aerospace environment
  • Strong preference to candidates who have participated in at least one aircraft development program, ideally E-VTOL, and are familiar with all phases of the project lifecycle.  Energy and battery systems experience is desirable.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn and adopt his/her style to a start-up environment; puts the team first; robust and passionate in following given objectives; uses failure as learning experience
  • Ability to probe and challenge assumptions
  • Excellent communicator in English
