You will be a member of our flight test team, planning, conducting and analyzing both manned and unmanned flight test campaigns. Tests will usually be conducted locally but may involve campaigns at remote locations from time to time. Your responsibility will be for both technical and management aspects adopting Volocopter Agile method.
In addition, you will work with senior colleagues to continue the build-up of the Flight Test Organization.
Volocopter has an established Flight Test Organization as part of our EASA Part21J Design Organization Approval (DOA).

- Planning and coordinating Ground and Flight Test activities for electric aircraft development and certification purposes
- Post flight assessment and troubleshooting including test data analyses and reports
- Working on engineering projects, the solution of which requires technological advances and related development
- Continuous evolution of the Flight Test Organization including procedures and handbooks
- Involving on eVTOL certification as Ground and Flight Test expert
- Involved as a Flight Test expert in the Database design for the management of flight test campaigns
- Providing technical guidance and training to FTEs
Qualifications
Required
- Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent technical education
- 5 to 10 years of experience as FTE and experience as CVE Flight Test
- Involved in at least 1 complete aircraft certification process
- Able to build up a Flight Test Organization
- Proficient experience in monitoring real-time critical parameters (using telemetry) and in post-processing (Matlab or equivalent)
- Communicative team player in addition to organizational and implementation power
- Management & Leadership Skills
- Fluent in English Language
Desired
- Experience in rotorcraft flight testing and certification
- Experience in generating and managing database (Oracle MySQL, Adobe FileMaker or equivalent) and in programming (Python or equivalent)
- Aircraft Pilot or Maintenance license
- Experience in remote piloting UAS, ideally multi-rotor
- Experience in Agile method
