Senior Financial Analyst

About this role:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the development of the company’s detailed annual budget as well as forecast updates, scenario analysis, and other ad hoc strategic analysis. They will work with leaders and stakeholders throughout the company in monitoring performance against the budget, aligning strategic initiatives and coordinating cross-functional projects. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of FP&A.

In this role, you will:

• Assist the Director of FP&A with budgeting, planning, forecasting and critical financial processes, leading monthly/quarterly/annual budget review process with department leaders
• Monitor financial KPIs and provide analysis and explanation of any variances
• Work with the Talent team and People Ops on headcount/compensation forecasts
• Collaborate with the Business Applications team to create financial status reports in Oracle ERP
• Manage and continue to update the corporate financial model to evaluate new or existing business initiatives, identifying opportunities and potential risks and monitor cash balance and runway
• Develop and enhance tools to track revenue performance and incurred project costs
• Assist with Board and management financial reporting
• Support investment decisions with ad-hoc analysis on project revenue, pricing models and capital markets activity

What's essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3+ years FP&A experience, corporate development consulting and/or corporate finance including long-term strategic planning experience and building and maintaining financial models
• Understanding of accounting and finance concepts and associated ability to model
• Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management
• Experience working with new commercial concepts and ability to work cross-functionally
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Desirable:

• Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting knowledge
• Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Experience in the renewable energy industry or a manufacturing/technology environment
• Experience in evaluating and supporting the execution of corporate-level financings
