About the Role:

As the Senior Commercial Marketing Manager at Loam Bio you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of our novel agricultural biological inputs here in Australia and fostering partnerships with farmers for their carbon projects. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in commercial marketing, a deep understanding of the Australian agricultural sector, and a passion for sustainable practices. In this role you will be partnering across the organisation to ensure that Loam is recognised as a high quality, reliable brand.

This is a hands-on role, reporting directly to Loam’s COO, that will allow you to leave your mark on a new, leading company delivering new, innovative products and solutions for Australian growers in a changing climate.

This role can be based in either Sydney or Orange, NSW.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive the commercial success of our innovative agricultural products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with product development, sales, and customer support.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the agricultural sector.
  • Position our agricultural biological inputs in the market, emphasising their unique features and benefits.
  • Strengthen the company's brand presence in the Australian agricultural market.
  • Implement branding initiatives that resonate with the target audience and align with our sustainability values.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agricultural organisations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with farmers on their carbon projects, showcasing our commitment to sustainable agriculture.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide marketing support and enablement tools.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the sales team's understanding of our products and their unique value propositions.
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns, utilising digital, traditional, and social media channels.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics, optimising strategies for maximum impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree ideally Marketing, Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in agricultural marketing, communications or brand management.
  • Proven experience in commercial marketing within the Australian agricultural sector, ideally within broadacre cropping.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture practices and environmental stewardship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in engaging with farmers and fostering agricultural partnerships.
