We are looking for an IT Services and Asset Manager who will:

We're looking for a highly organised and personable IT Services and Asset Manager to join the IT Department and take charge of many departmental processes to ensure that a consistent and reliable approach is taken, assist in documenting our practices, and ensuring that these processes and practices are lean and suitable for our needs. 

 

The responsibilities and duties of the IT Services and Asset Manager will be as follows:

As a member of the IT Department, you will contribute to or lead administrative processes in support of the successful delivery of IT services and support across our organisation. Strong inter-personal skills are required to work with teams and stakeholders across the company needed, and the ability to create, learn, and cross-train administrative processes is essential. 

Where dictated by the needs of the IT Department, you may also be trained in and asked to perform some supporting IT tasks from time-to-time. 

  • Coordinate IT Department procurement, working with central Procurement to: 
    • Raise supplier quotes as Purchase Requests in a timely manner working with the IT Procurement administrator.  
    • Track approvals with the various stakeholders. 
    • Monitor the ordering process through to goods delivery. 
    • Software contract renewals and license procurement.  
    • Work with IT Stakeholders to build and maintain the IT Budget and earmark efficiencies and evidence any savings to those stakeholders.  
    • Manage all vendors across the IT estate including resellers, direct vendors and maintain service contracts.  
    • Involvement with the IT Project Management team to review new IT Contracts and Services prior to go live or contract signature.  
  • Assist with Asset Management: 
    • Ensure that goods are marked with asset labels and added to the asset register. 
    • Work with IT Service Delivery teams and the Finance team to ensure the asset register is compliant with SOX controls.  
    • Update the Asset register with additions and changes. 
    • Arrange for the secure disposal of decommissioned equipment. 

 

  • Schedule meetings, capture meeting minutes, track actions to completion, and maintain risk / action / issue / decision logs for projects. 
  • Coordinate stakeholder sign-off of various departmental documents, from Non-disclosure Agreements with external stakeholders to policies, processes, and technical design documents for internal stakeholders. 
  • Any other administrative tasks as directed by your manager. 

 

The successful IT Services and Asset Manager will have the following Experiences & Qualifications:

  • Clear understanding of all licensing and service agreements across the sector.  
  • Accomplished user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) documents. 
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive for document storage. 
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience within IT Asset Management or IT Asset Analyst roles.  
  • Experience coordinating projects, especially in Agile methodology. 
  • Demonstrable administrative skills, planning, documentation, record-keeping, minute-taking, etc. 

 Desired:

  • Having worked in an aerospace / manufacturing industry. 
  • Knowledge of Engineering software such as MATLAB, 3DExperience & the ANSYS suite. 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other ERP solutions.
