The Role:

You will be part of the central Corporate Development & Fundraising team working closely with the Chief Financial, Executive, and Strategy Officers and other members of Lilium’s leadership team. 

One key focus of this role is to support the team ensuring the company is properly funded through private and public investors to progress the certification program and prepare market launch. This includes supporting the definition and build-out of Lilium’s strategy and equity story across the full value chain; from supply chain and manufacturing topics, to assessment and evaluation of future products and business models. 

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a variety of challenges, as well as to develop strong relationships with some of the global leaders in the technology, finance, and mobility industries. 

You will join a small, non-hierarchical, very dynamic and international team working in a demanding and high-paced environment where you will need to be agile and comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines.

The role will be based in Munich for a duration of up to 6 months.

Your Day to Day:

  • Support on important strategic projects with business modelling, business plans and creation of decision documents 
  • Support fundraising process, including preparation of investor materials, steering of external advisors, and alignment of Lilium’s Senior Leadership Team 
  • Work cross-functionally to align strategy and teams 
  • Take ownership for finding the most effective solutions to strategic issues across the company
  • Provide a sounding board to senior management and constantly challenge the status quo

Your Profile:

  • You will ideally be a Master student in business administration, economics, or in a MINT subject (pursuing an MBA from a top 10 business school a strong plus)
  • Outstanding record of academic achievement
  • First professional experience gained in a very analytical/strategic/financial role in a Tier 1 firm (e.g., top management consulting, Venture Capital, Private Equity, or investment banking) through internships (mandatory for students of MINT subjects) or full-time position
  • Excited for real deep tech products
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of financial modelling
  • Fluent English with exemplary communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision
  • Out of the box thinker and strong motivation to learn 
  • Drive, resilience, and passion for whatever you tackle
  • Good team player, with a humble yet ambitious attitude
  • Uncompromising integrity
