What success will look like for you, as an Advanced Powertrain Systems Engineer?

As an Advanced Powertrain Systems Engineer, you will cultivate in-house expertise and develop deep knowledge across Powertrain systems development, responsible for supporting the development strategy for the Powertrain systems lifecycle from requirements to qualification, including integration, verification, and validation activities. We'll need you to conduct stakeholder requirement capture, analysis, and management and contribute to the development, optimization, and advocacy of a consistent systems engineering approach within the Powertrain Department.

You'll conduct failure analysis, identify and mitigate failure modes, support risk reduction effort, and define a verification & validation approach to support our VX4 certification. You'll lead collaborative relationships across Powertrain to perform system and sub-system integration testing and identify crucial Powertrain performance factors.

What would we like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role, to achieve this, you will need a relevant engineering degree or equivalent demonstrable relevant career experience. You'll need a background in Systems Engineering (aerospace experience preferred but not mandatory) and performing integrated systems safety assessments. Ideally, but not essentially, you'll have worked within a Certification program, collaborating with both internal Airworthiness and external Authorities. This role requires you to interface with various cross-functional teams and individuals, you'll therefore need excellent communication and relationship building experience, with examples of where you have influenced others. Ideally, but not essentially, candidates with aerospace standards knowledge such as ARP 4754B, ARP4761, SC VTOL (Special Condition for VTOL) and SC E-19 (Special Condition for Hybrid-Electric Propulsion Systems) would be advantageous.
