Industrial Engineer

About this role:

Design and implement the ideal factories to deliver the lowest cost Heliostat, in multiple global locations, based on data modelling, experiments, trials, and the latest in lean manufacturing best practices. Innovate on the latest automation processes for material movement and data transfer. Guide and educate local engineering and labor teams to operate efficiently by providing an intuitive measurement and reporting infrastructure and the operational knowledge and guidance to effect positive improvement from interpretation of the results.

What's essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 5 years work experience that includes hands-on Industrial Engineering experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment.
• Expertise with Discrete Event Simulation tools such as Promodel, Flexsim, Arena, Simulink, Delmia, etc.
• Expertise in defining and implementing visual factories.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and other production performance metric analysis.
• Demonstrable experience defining work breakdown structures, line levelling models, labor models, and material movement models.
• Demonstrated results in improving facility throughput, production efficiency, and/or product quality, and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communicator, able to convey complex concepts to multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable:

• Manufacturing or Production experience preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or commercial electronics industries or similar.
• Experience leveraging MOST data analysis.
• AutoCad & Solidworks experience desired.
• Promodel specific experience.
