Novoloop is an emerging leader in plastic circularity, transforming post-consumer plastic waste into the world’s first chemically upcycled performance materials. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, Novoloop is currently scaling up to its first commercial manufacturing facility to use its patented ATOD (Accelerated Thermal Oxidative Decomposition) technology to manufacture performance materials for the footwear, electronics, and automotive industries. Novoloop currently has 30+ full time employees.

We're seeking an FP&A Project Consultant to help envision how our technology can be built as the first commercial chemical plant.

Project Scope

Develop a high-impact project economic model for a first-of-its-kind chemical plant that converts plastic waste into sustainable polymers

Model entails scenario analysis to inform project decisions on financing efforts, site selection, and partnership structuring

Model will analyze key factors including site geography, raw materials costs, partnership models, scale, technology efficiency, transportation, labor costs, and taxes

Opportunity to work with a dynamic startup cofounder and with periodical guidance from an experienced mentor in private equity

Key Competencies

Excel mastery and high proficiency with PowerPoint

High-level ability to build strong relationships and influence technical, business, and operational decisions

Excellent verbal/written communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to efficiently organize information, analyze large datasets, and present data in a clear and impactful manner

Analytical approach to problem solving, in a team environment with attention to results and a sense of urgency

Understand business reasons and underlying economic substance of transactions and accounting implications

Understand financial risks and the methods for mitigating the impact of these risks

Chemical industry experience desirable

Ask a lot of questions, be curious, and have insights into your work

Be nimble, embrace the speed and ambiguity of startup culture

Be passionate about solving environmental problems

Able to self-manage, and set your own priorities and schedule
