About the Team
The FP&A team plays a pivotal role in helping to shape the financial future and strategic direction of Aurora Solar. We are responsible for owning the company's budget, driving annual and quarterly planning processes, allocating and deploying the company's resources efficiently, performing financial analyses, and partnering with teams across the company.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented FP&A Manager who is passionate about driving the business forward through predictive analytics and thoughtful insights at an organization making an important difference in the world. They will act as a strategic partner to our Sales team, playing a key role in supporting Topline Budgeting/Forecasting, Sales Productivity, and Sales Effectiveness.
Your Impact
Partner and steer strategic discussions with Sales management; help influence effective decision-making by providing valuable insights and building trust with stakeholders
Assist with designing and executing the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-term strategic planning processes
Research best practices and perform benchmarking analysis for critical metrics and other operational aspects of a high-growth organization
Assist with Board reporting and help design and implement Executive reporting
Find opportunities to optimize spend and work to reduce costs and inefficiencies
Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing the root causes of variances to deliver valuable insight and recommendations
Simplify, streamline, and automate FP&A processes and make full use of forecasting and financial system capabilities that will allow us to continue to scale rapidly and globally
Collaborate with business partners to understand, distill, and communicate ongoing and evolving business trends that will drive management decisions and action
Perform frequent ad hoc projects to support senior management and business decisions
Work with the accounting team on month-end close to derive accurate and timely reporting that helps identify variances from expectations and trends
What you Bring
7+ years of finance experience, preferably GTM and/or Corporate FP&A
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets is required
Experience conducting financial forecasting
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels throughout the company
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big picture strategic understanding
Ability to handle ambiguity and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Haves
Knowledge of SaaS business models and experience in analyzing SaaS metrics
In depth understanding of financial statements
Advanced modeling skills, experience conducting complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis and ability to generate data-driven insights
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another quantitative field
