About the Role
As an Industry Researcher, by providing key industry insights and proactively identifying and proposing areas of improvement to the PDE teams, you will play a critical role in shaping Aurora’s product!
What You’ll Do
Research policies, industry evolution, norms, trends, and emerging standards in support of product development
Research our third-party data resources such as components, utility rates, and financial incentives, and enrich them to improve accuracy and recency
Work with relevant partners across the ecosystem to ensure they're represented well in our products and represent Aurora and our interests in industry initiatives, working groups, and conferences
Assist is sales and partnership discussions with subject matter expertise in specific areas of research
Synthesize the gathered information and author high-impact presentations and reports to communicate recommendations to senior product and engineering leadership and the broader organization
Collaborate closely across multiple teams and domains to develop new products and features
What We Value
Research, Design, Engineering, or Operations experience at a leading solar company
A deep understanding of how Solar Design, Engineering, and/or Installer teams operate, the tools they use, and the problems they encounter
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to articulate and advocate simple and impactful strategies based on data-driven insights
A consistent track record of establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, across departments and at all levels
Deep understanding of various personas, and workflows of the solar and storage industry
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
Familiarity with scripting languages
