Engineering Technology Leader

Description

• Support process and design development of new plant capital projects and improvement projects and support in plant continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Participate in process improvement projects to improve product quality, decrease cost, and improve product performance.
• Engage with cross-functional team members who support design and lead procurement of capital equipment.
• Support capital equipment, layout and operational improvements of strategic initiatives to drive development of a high-volume production facility.
• Support smaller capital project improvement as needed to enable current small scale plant continuous improvement glidepath.
• Communicate results of engineering work process as part of the Mycoway implementation.
• Support tracking of appropriate engineering KPI’s such as modeling and simulation results of design,capital cost, timing and leads stakeholder reviews, problem solving and cross functional issue solving sessions.
• Work with outside vendors to enable delivery of capital equipment.
• Utilize background in modeling and simulation of process reliability, digital modeling for efficiency and estimation of parts/spares.
• Develop first principles experimentation to create process flow and P&ID.
• Develop design specifications and design experiments to support centerline development.
• Perform CQV/IQ OQ PQ testing in factory acceptance or vender acceptance tests.
• Help drive company vision and initiatives within Engineering, and support further development of engineering within the company.
• Design and execute experiments to understand and improve the product, disseminate results to create scalable processes.
• Compile process data, including analysis and comparison of results.
• Utilize the following tools/technologies: Minitab, AutoCAD, Tableau, Power BI, Hyperion, LSSGB, CSSBB, PMP, and RCA.
• Position requires domestic travel up to 50% as needed and customary for the occupation.

Requirements

• The position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely
  related field.
• The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience in an engineering position or closely related occupation in a manufacturing environment.
• The qualified candidate must also have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience with all of the following:
  • (a) performing process improvement projects to improve product quality, decrease cost, and improve product performance;
  • (b) designing plant/manufacturing engineering solutions and identifying bottlenecks in process line;
  • (c) designing sequence of operations and arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most ergonomic and productive layout;
  • (d) supporting the development of new facilities and process systems;
  • (e) performing modeling and simulation of process reliability, digital modeling for efficiency, and estimation of parts/spares; and
  • (f) utilizing the following tools/technologies: Minitab, AutoCAD, Tableau, Power BI, Hyperion, LSSGB, CSSBB, PMP, and RCA.
  • All experience may be gained concurrently.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted base pay for this role is $97,282 - $145,000. The actual pay is dependent on other factors such as training, skills, work experience and business needs. The target pay range is subject to change and may be modified. This role is also eligible for benefits and equity.
