The Director of Product Marketing will lead the product marketing team and support product positioning, content development, and new product launch activities for Fluence’s energy storage, services, and software products. 
Sitting at the intersection of Fluence’s marketing and product organizations, you will play a key role in driving demand for our energy storage and cloud-based software products with content and messaging that resonates with target customer segments and user personas. The Director of Product Marketing position is highly cross-functional and will work collaboratively with product management, marketing communications, sales, commercial, sales engineering, technology, and other parts of the organization to ensure products are launched and brought to market successfully.

The Director of Product Marketing will lead the product marketing team: 
•Manage and mentor a team of 3 product marketers covering a broad range of offerings and enable their success.
•Set goals and prioritize initiatives and team deliverables in collaboration with the product management team, marketing team, and other stakeholders.
•Work with regional growth, marketing, and sales teams to drive demand for and differentiation of the Fluence solutions. 
•Report on progress against goals and target deliverables.
•Drive the team to create and execute product launch initiatives and ongoing marketing needs to support the sales of our offerings.
•Work closely with product management, technology, and marketing to develop product messaging that resonates with target customers and buyers.
•Communicate the vision and value of new products to the sales team and develop sales tools and trainings that facilitate the selling process.
•Lead product-related external communications and marketing efforts through collaboration with the corporate marketing team in the creation of web content and marketing campaigns.
•Support communications for the product roadmap and product strategy for internal and external audiences.
•Manage the product and platform brand architecture and train the rest of the organization on changes to the architecture and nomenclature as needed.

What with the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Experience managing a team and driving the impact of product marketing. 
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing in the following industries: energy storage, clean energy, industrial power equipment, or renewables. 
  • A bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, engineering, or related field. MBA is preferred but not required. 
  • Strong writing and presentation skills with an ability to distill complex topics and information into clear, persuasive messaging.  
  • Ability to craft compelling stories and create content for different channels and mediums.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint with experience creating concise and polished externally facing presentations.
