We are currently looking for a Data & Business Modeler to join our new operational team that has a passion to deliver (EV)market, (real estate) site and users insights, to enable the a fast growth of the asset basis throughout Europe.

Smappee Services is currently deploying the service “Smappee Charging Squares” as a complementary service on top of the Smappee-technologies. By fastening up the investments in infrastructure, we want to help electrifying the mobility system and to enhance the smart grid of tomorrow. Your contribution will help to save both the planet and the economy.

As a Data & Business plan modeler, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing business models, and creating comprehensive business models. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving the growth and success of our organization. The focus is twofold: on one hand a deep dive in the business models of Charging Squares, so (pro-active) sites can be evaluated on their potential for generating revenue. This is support to the sales organization and the portfolio manager. On the other hand deep understanding and key enabling success parameters for an optimal usage/revenue of the existing portfolio. This is support to the revenue officer and products teams of Smappee (services).

The ideal candidate for this role possesses a deep understanding of revenue generating principles and is challenged by data-crushing, open source data retrieval and digesting the info into data layers that support the decision makers.. As we are a fast growing company, hands on support, as being part of the operational team, is a likely task.

A look into a week of our Data & Business Modeler :

• Data Analysis:
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights: static, dynamic and Geo-referred;
  • Use statistical methods and tools to interpret data and extract actionable information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data integrity.
• Business Modeling:
  • Develop business models and forecasts to support strategic planning, budgeting, and investment decisions.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for site selection and to measure business performance and growth.
• Business Plan Development:
  • Create comprehensive business models and proposals based on market research and insights of EV / Energy markets.
  • Incorporate industry trends, competitive analysis, and customer insights into business plans.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
• Data Visualization:
  • Design and create visually appealing and informative dashboards, reports, and presentations.
  • Communicate complex data and analysis results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Use data visualization tools and techniques to facilitate data-driven decision-making and to monitor the performance of the assets
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data analysis and business modeling.
  • Explore innovative approaches and tools to enhance data analysis processes and business plan development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on data analysis and business modeling.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Has experience with GEO data, QGIS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in project management and working on multiple projects simultaneously is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is beneficial.
• You understand the UX of an EV-driver and Charging Square operator
• You are fluent in Dutch & English
