As a Senior Low Voltage Distribution Engineer at Zoox, you’ll play a key role in designing one of the most advanced wiring harness systems ever built into a vehicle. Working on a highly collaborative, cross-functional team, you’ll help ensure seamless communication between controllers, sensors, and subsystems, critical for the safe and reliable operation of our autonomous vehicles. You’ll shape design guidelines, implement best practices, and drive process improvements across the full development lifecycle. Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $159,000 to $263,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

In this role, you will:
Own the end-to-end design of complex low-voltage and high-speed wiring harnesses using CATIA V5/V6, ensuring quality, compliance, and manufacturability.Define and manage processes for device transmittals, schematics, and 3D harness routing across the product lifecycle.Develop best practices and provide technical guidance to junior engineers to continuously improve harness design methodologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define low-voltage distribution system requirements, endpoints and interfacesLead supplier engagements and drive continuous improvement within the electrical engineering functionQualifications
BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent degree15 years of automotive or aerospace engineering experience, with at least 2+ years of people management experienceExperience with automotive EE system-level communication (CAN, LIN) and power distribution architecturesDemonstrated release of hardware products with firmware/software dependenciesHardware and software integration experienceBonus Qualifications
Experience with Capital/Mentor Graphics Topology, HarnessXC Bridging.Experience with ISO26262, EE HW reliability life calculations, and system FMEA analysisExperience with high-speed automotive electronics communication protocols (GMSL, automotive ethernet, A2B)
