We’re seeking a Chemical Engineer to help scale up Novoloop’s patented ATOD technology. You will be supporting the preparation of engineering packages with both external Engineering, Procurement Construction (EPC) firms, and internal teams. This role will work closely with both the Product & Innovation and Process Development teams.
This is a full-time position in Menlo Park, CA, with a competitive salary and stock options. Priority will be given to local applicants with the status for US employment.

What You’ll Do
Work independently to design, plan, and analyze scalable process experiments in pilot plantsWork collaboratively with technicians, scientists, and engineers to solve technical challengesWork with EPC firms and internal teams to generate the necessary Front End Loading (FEL) design packagesRecommend experiments to obtain the necessary data to complete FEL design packagesResolve concerns and improve the overall definition of FEL documentationManage communication with equipment vendors and parts suppliers, Size equipment, prepare equipment data sheets, and discuss applications with vendorsEstimate capital and operating costs for techno-economic optimization studies Use process modeling software, such as ProSim, to develop key engineering documentation Maintain well-organized and complete records of project documentation Support production trials at toll manufacturing partner sites Contribute to process safety reviews Required
BS/MS in Chemical Engineering3-5 years of relevant work experience in an EPC firm or chemical manufacturing settingExperience in a variety of unit operations and processes (minimum 3yr relevant industrial experience)Experience working with EPC firms to develop FEL packagesExperience leading projects Experience preparing Heat and Mass Balance, PFDs, and P&IDsExperience in sizing standard chemical processing equipment - i.e. safety relief valves, heat exchangers, pumpsExperience working with project teams at multiple sites and multiple organizationsExperience documenting all technical and project information in an organized fashionExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for technical informationPreferred

Salary range $94,000 to $115,000 Stock optionsActual compensation offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience
