What you will do:
As a Chemical Engineer on the Systems and Chemical Engineering team, you will focus on hands-on design, experimentation, and analysis of chemical processes. The majority of your time will be spent in the lab surrounded by other engineers and scientists who can provide guidance and support. In this role you will:
- Design novel chemical processes
- Perform experiments and analyze, report, and present findings
- Design and commission pilot-scale equipment
What we need you to bring to the team:
- A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, mining or metallurgical engineering, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience working on process design and scale-up of chemical and/or electrochemical processes
- Experience with equipment sizing, selection and commissioning, as well as working with vendors to specify P&IDs and order custom equipment
- Experience with process design including mass and energy balances, chemical reactors, separations equipment, and thermodynamic and fluid flow calculations
- Experience analyzing experimental data, reaching conclusions, and communicating results
- Familiarity with fluid power systems (pumps, valves, heat exchange equipment, etc.)
- The ability to specify and build custom chemical-processing systems as well as troubleshoot equipment and related instrumentation.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as needed
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $90,000-$130,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
