What you will do:
As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator II, you will manage, track, and optimize our incoming and outgoing domestic/international shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in international/domestic shipping, inventory control, and warehouse management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, package, and ship products and materials domestically and internationally, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Coordinate with domestic and international carriers to arrange shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any issues or delays.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials and equipment from domestic and international suppliers, verifying accuracy against purchase orders in NetSuite.
- Deliver materials and equipment to the appropriate departments or locations within the facility as needed, ensuring safe and timely delivery.
- Assist with unloading and organizing materials and equipment in the warehouse, ensuring optimal storage and easy access.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting routine cycle counts or physical inventories, and resolving discrepancies between received goods and inventory records.
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and legal regulations. Properly identify, store, and label hazardous materials to ensure safety and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow safety protocols for handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and ensure that all safety data sheets (SDS) are available and reviewed for hazardous products.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts) safely and efficiently to move materials and equipment.
- Regularly inspect and maintain handling equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
What we need you to bring to the team:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of industry experience working in a shipping and receiving role involving international/Domestic goods transportation with Import/Export compliance and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (ERP)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, particularly regarding compliance requirements for international shipping regulations and customs requirements
- Ability to work on assignments that are routine in nature
- Ability to fact find to resolve issues when needed
- Communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
- A safety-first mindset; share potential risks with others before they result in hazardous outcomes
- Experience with, or ability to quickly learn, Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint
What we want you to bring to the team:
- Associate’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or related
- 5+ years of industry experience working in a shipping and receiving role involving international and domestic goods transportation with Import/Export compliance and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
- IATA and/or CFR49 shipping certification.
Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $21-$24 an hour and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
