The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with our Finance, Ops and Data Science teams to build business intelligence infrastructure that provides real-time insight into operations and promotes data-driven business decisions. They will build data aggregation pipelines, BI dashboards and other reports for business stakeholders with rich interactivity and detailed analysis. In addition, they will scope and implement improvements to the underlying data sources, evangelizing best practices in data management to the relevant teams. A successful candidate will have a strong background in data management, analysis and visualization, with deep experience in spreadsheets (both Excel and Google Sheets), BI Tools (preferably Tableau), SQL, and data pipeline scripting (Python or other similar language). They will also have exposure to financial data modeling and the CPG industry, with an ability to translate business requirements into well-scoped solutions, and comfort interacting with and presenting to executive audiences.

Responsibilities:

  •  Manage existing financial data framework, understanding and enhancing data connections between internal and external sources, including ERP, FP&A, in-house Manufacturing and HR software's
  •  Identify and implement improvements to existing data infrastructure
  •  Build out KPI dashboards in Tableau or other BI dashboard tool, establish live connections to disparate data sources and manage tool on an ongoing basis
  • Partner with Capacity Planning, Manufacturing and Finance teams to redesign production forecasting tool to facilitate stronger alignment between internal teams
  •  Design and implement additional BI dashboards that promote actionable insights arounds sales and production decisions
  • Evangelize and communicate best data practices and the use of BI tools and solutions to prompt data-driven approaches to business analysis, strategy, and decision-making
  • Understand and translate business objectives to measurable KPIs, proactively modify definitions and reporting formats as business evolves
  • Communicate and evangelize best data practices throughout the Finance and Ops orgs
  • Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in data analysis or BI role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field; Masters in Analytics or Information Systems a plus
  • Advanced SQL experience, including data modeling and access control management
  • Background in scripting language, preferably Python
  • ERP experience, preferably Netsuite
  • Familiarity with APIs (nice to have)
  • Experience normalizing, integrating, and reconciling large sums of data from different sources with varied levels of structure
  • Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools, such as Tableau
  • Experience interpreting insights from quantitative and qualitative data and communicating to business leaders
  • Strong analytical mindset and creative problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of financial forecasting
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
