Transport and Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

• Ensure that goods procured at vendors for Carbon Clean projects are be delivered on time, within the expected quality and with the complete set of documentation.
• Liaise directly with the Procurement team and relevant internal stakeholders to understand upcoming shipping requirements for our projects in execution
• Establish and build relationships with freight forwarding companies, maintaining a selection of key companies to ensure competitive costs and to meet future delivery demand
• Develop frame agreements for logistics, transportation and warehousing services, including price negotiations or related service level agreements
• Develop and execute cost-effective logistics plans to meet customer delivery terms within the project schedule and budget
• Coordinate shipping requirements such as packing, handling, sea-fastening, lifting and inspection, whilst inputting to draft shipping specifications;
• Provide logistics and transportation expertise in sales support activities relative to cost and lead time
• Develop the logistics and transportation process within Carbon Clean

Requirements

• 5-7 years experience in a similar role within an engineering/project industry
• Experience and track record of working with freight forwarders, shipping handlers, logistics companies and EPC equipment suppliers
• Experience in setting up effective orders expediting, logistics and transportation processes, procedures and documentation to match company goals
• Comfortable with understanding and inputting to contractual language pertaining to logitics/expediting/inspection/packing/QAQC etc., and familiar with shipping documentation, both internal and from third parties
• A strategic thinker with excellent negotiations and communication skills
• Analytical skills united with a solution-oriented problem solving mindset
• Self guided, self-organized and proactive team player
• MSc in Industrial Management, Supply Chain or Logistics
• Certification from APICS considered a plus
