Natron Energy is seeking a Test Equipment Manager to support the development and test of our high-power battery systems for data center UPS and EV charging applications. The occupant of this position will work with the Product Engineering and Reliability teams to acquire, maintain, and calibrate test equipment and lab tools, among other duties. 
 
This position requires extensive hands-on work and a do-whatever-it-takes attitude to get the job done. Position level and compensation commensurate with experience and background.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand equipment and tool requirements from Reliability and Test Engineers, procure the necessary items, and ensure their correct installation
  • Coordinate with Test Coordinator on the acquisition and maintenance of test and measurement equipment, fixtures, and chambers
  • Calibrate and maintain Reliability Engineering equipment such as test fixtures, data loggers, and test chambers
  • Generate standard operating procedures for the use, calibration, and maintenance of Reliability Engineering equipment such as test fixtures, data loggers, and test chambers
  • Perform, analyze, and report on measurement system analysis (MSA), including gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) studies
  • Directly work with Test Technicians to ensure they are trained on standard operating procedures, and they have all the necessary tools to succeed in their activities
  • Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with electrical test equipment such as power supplies, resistive loads, and environmental chambers
  • Strong experience executing, writing, and updating procedures
  • Care and meticulousness when generating and executing maintenance and calibration plans
  • Experience contacting equipment suppliers and comparing vendors
  • A positive and team-first attitude
  • Comfort in working at a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and products (assistive lifts available for heavier items)
  • Excellent in interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in multi team environment.
  • Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Testing battery cells or other electronic devices
  • Working with electro-mechanical products
  • High-voltage items and batteries
  • Data acquisition and control software such as LabVIEW or Python
  • A degree in a science or engineering field

  • In addition, Natron Energy has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan with Match, Life Insurance, Parental Leave Benefits, Discretionary Time Off (DTO) and Paid Time Off (PTO) for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees respectively, and 11 paid holidays.
  • The salary range for this position is a minimum of $126,000 and a maximum of $170,000.
