About This Role:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Vice President of Real Estate & Data Center Capital Markets to partner with the CFO to lead and execute capital solutions across our growing data center projects. This executive will sit at the intersection of real estate, finance, and digital infrastructure, helping to structure and manage equity partnerships, debt financing, and capital stack optimization for both corporate-level and project-specific initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of experience in strategic analysis and execution across real estate capital markets with deep exposure to data center financing, including construction loans, post-stabilization debt, and corporate-level capital raises. You’re a hybrid thinker—able to operate at a high strategic level while also getting in the weeds on deal terms, joint venture structures, and legal documentation. A background in finance, investment banking, or law with a strong transactional track record is preferred.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of capital markets transactions for data center developments, including equity joint ventures, pre construction facilities, construction loans, and permanent debt.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and leadership on optimal capital stack structuring at both the project and platform levels.
Analyze and negotiate term sheets, equity agreements, joint venture documents, and loan documents with attention to detail and a sharp eye for risk/reward dynamics and a key understanding of short and long term impacts of each component of a financing or partnership.
Build and maintain relationships with equity partners, banks, debt funds, and institutional investors.
Develop forward-looking capital strategies to support business growth, including support for M&A, platform expansions, and large-scale development initiatives.
Partner with internal development, legal, finance, and asset management teams to align capital strategies with business operations.
Lead or support due diligence efforts for acquisitions, partnerships, and financings.
Monitor and evaluate capital markets trends impacting the data center sector and communicate implications to internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Minimum 15 years of experience in real estate capital markets, investment banking, law, or finance with a strong focus on data center or infrastructure assets.
Demonstrated success executing complex real estate transactions across the full asset lifecycle—from ground-up development to stabilized asset financing.
Deep understanding of equity and debt market dynamics, JV structures, intercreditor issues, and investor expectations in the data center space.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting skills.
Excellent negotiation skills and a working knowledge of legal documentation (you can speak term sheets and redlines fluently).
Extraordinary management and team building skills with demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and retain top talent
Self-starter with a bias towards action who is able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ownership mentality; you take maximum accountability for performance and can clearly communicate performance drivers to cross-functional teams and execs.
