At Ucaneo we develop a pioneering Direct Air Capture technology. Ucaneo's state-of-the-art electrochemical technology mimics the human lung and how CO2 is managed in the human body. Utilising electricity and a specialised biomimetic solvent, Ucaneo removes atmospheric CO2 at continuous regeneration at room temperature, concentrating CO2 into a pure gas ready for industrial use. The DAC technology is highly energy-efficient and compatible with variable intermittent renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy, allowing for energy price arbitrage and a flexible, on-demand CO2 removal.
Climate change is a global problem and needs to be tackled at scale. Therefore, we set the goal to capture 0.5 GT of CO2 from the air by 2035 - roughly the same weight as all humans on earth combined!
After the first promising results we are currently scaling-up our technology. If you want to join an ambitious team with lots of freedom and growth check out our career page. We are looking for talents in the area of chemical engineering, electrochemistry and mechanical engineering and cannot wait to meet you!
Your mission
You will take on the central role at the critical intersection between our internal engineering development and our external design and construction partners. Your primary mission is to ensure the technical integrity and feasibility of our demanding First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) specifications throughout the entire Design-to-Build process.
You will serve as the technical point of contact for Project Management, guaranteeing that external suppliers and partners accurately translate our requirements into viable construction plans and final facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Project and Supplier Steering: You act as the primary technical interface to our key partners, coordinating the technical information flow, leading kick-off meetings, and ensuring the timely delivery of technical documentation.
- Technical Specification Control and Interface Management: You oversee compliance with our technical specifications, drawings (e.g., P&IDs, layouts), and standards by external engineering and construction partners.
- Technical Change Management: You evaluate technical deviations, change requests, and non-conformities from external partners regarding their impact on system performance, budget, and schedule, and you make decisions on technical approvals.
- Schedule Adherence Monitoring: You regularly report to the Program Manager on the technical progress, risks, and bottlenecks related to internal and external implementation. You continuously monitor and analyze internal and external partners’ progress against the Master Project Schedule, focusing specifically on technical milestones (e.g., long-lead item drawing releases, critical design review sign-offs, fabrication start dates).
- Execution & Action Management: You drive the day-to-day execution of the technical workstream by translating project requirements into clear action items, assigning ownership, and ensuring timely follow-through. You proactively track open actions across all partners, resolve blockers, and maintain operational momentum to keep the project on schedule.
