About the company:

Albedo builds & operates VLEO satellites. Our first satellite Clarity-1 captures visible and thermal imagery at the highest resolution commercially available.

The world is rapidly changing and a new level of visibility and transparency is required to solve some of our largest problems. Albedo’s 10 cm visible and 2m thermal imagery will fuel insights for industries such as mapping, insurance, utilities, solar, agriculture, infrastructure sustainability, national security, and much more.

Albedo is making Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) mainstream, building the infrastructure to usher every satellite mission set into this new orbital domain. We build buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions for customers to thrive in VLEO, between 200 km - 400 km, where proximity compounds performance & drag self-cleans debris.

What You'll Do:

Operate Clarity-1, Albedo’s first on-orbit satellite, with support from the Systems team.

Work closely with subsystem owners (GNC, avionics, payload, thermal, power, FSW) to ensure the vehicle is operating on-orbit successfully.

Gather requirements for on-orbit experiments, develop test scripts, and execute them on-orbit

Analyze and review on-orbit data from Clarity-1 to identify areas of improvement and proactively drive solutions and updates across Flight Software and Ground Software.

Support test activities of future missions with an operations view point.

Build the systems understanding and skill set to grow into a systems/mission design role.
