We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support end-to-end supply chain operations across procurement, planning, logistics, warehouse operations, and systems administration. This role is responsible for executing daily operational tasks, assisting in system improvements, and contributing to cross-functional projects that enhance supply chain performance. This position is located onsite in Hazelwood, Mo.

 

Essential Functions:

Procurement & Planning

  • Create, update, and track purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, delivery dates, and order accuracy.
  • Support supplier onboarding and maintain documentation.
  • Monitor delivery discrepancies and escalate issues.
  • Maintain planning parameters (lead times, MOQ, safety stock, order policies) in supply chain systems.
  • Coordinate with production, operations, and sales to align material availability with schedules.

Warehouse Operations Support

  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping activities.
  • Support inbound receiving by verifying packing lists, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring inventory is processed timely into the ERP/WMS.
  • Assist with outbound order fulfillment by coordinating priorities, updating shipment statuses, and verifying order accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP/WMS systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processes, including 5S, standard work, and error-proofing activities.

Logistics & Transportation

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and brokers.
  • Track delivery status and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with freight claims, shipping documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Support logistics optimization efforts, including route improvements and shipment consolidation.

Systems, Projects, & Reporting

  • Assist in maintaining supply chain systems, including data entry, updates, and testing.
  • Support configuration changes, user acceptance testing (UAT), and basic troubleshooting for supply chain applications.
  • Help ensure data accuracy and integrity across all supply chain platforms.
  • Support supply chain project owners by gathering data, preparing documentation, and monitoring progress.
  • Assist in implementing new processes or system enhancements aimed at improving efficiency and service levels.
  • Provide feedback on process gaps and help pilot new tools or workflows.
  • Prepare and update operational dashboards and identify trends, bottlenecks, or risks, and propose basic corrective actions.

 

Competencies:

  • Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and familiarity with ERP or supply chain systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • 0-2 years experience in procurement, logistics, or other supply chain field preferred
  • Exposure to ERP systems

 

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
