Position: IT Support Specialist
Preferred location: Pivot Bio office in St. Louis, MO
Description:
Pivot Bio is looking for an experienced IT professional to join our IT Support team. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for onsite helpdesk (workstation and user) support for the Hayward, CA location as well as remote support for other office locations and distributed work teams. Working across diverse teams - from field to lab, to office-based staff - this role will ensure IT tools are deployed and maintained to support rapid growth and cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Deployment and maintenance of laptops, tablets, workstations and conference room systems.
- Maintain the update and backup schedule of all company systems including lab systems, conference rooms, room schedulers, etc.
- Maintain, and support AV systems including conference rooms, mobile AV systems, sound systems, microphones, projectors, etc.
- Inventory and device management
- Manage new hiring onboarding as it pertains to equipment, account setup and training
- Maintain and support call center system including hardware and software.
- Maintain hardware/software inventory and procurement requests.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Establish good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
- Additional duties as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of technical experience as a helpdesk technician and 4+ years in a technical role.
- 3+ years of experience with mobile device management and endpoint security.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware support, with a strong focus on conference room & AV systems.
- Experience in Microsoft 365, and SharePoint environments required.
- Able to travel between various company locations.
- Ability to transfer technical knowledge to users of varying skill levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Background or interest in agriculture, preferably in an industry setting.
- Experience with Zendesk.
- Experience with Aircall.
- Experience with Windows 10, Mac OS.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Zoom video conferencing software.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
