Who You Are

As the Strategic Finance Intern on the Finance Team you will help propel Sila's strategic and financial planning by working directly with the team lead and executives to build, research, refine financial models and inputs. These models are critical to Sila’s strategic planning and fundraising work. Internship will take place May to September (timing flexible)

Responsibilities and Duties

Revise and/or rebuild Sila's long-term financial model
Research and refine assumptions in our strategic plan including market sizing, pricing, costs, and timelines
Distill model outputs into investor quality presentation slides, including fundraising due diligence responses
Research competitive landscape for potential opportunities and threats and summarize Sila's capital raising landscape
Review and propose enhancements to Sila's FP&A infrastructure

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Minimum of 2 years working experience in investment banking, strategy consulting or a finance related-role
1st Year MBA Candidate
Experience with spreadsheet-based financial modeling required
Experience with battery technologies or the energy sector would be nice
Engineering background and/or technical degrees would be nice
Experience modeling in Google sheets would be nice

Physical Demands and Working Condition

Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location

The starting base pay for this role is between $38.00 and $48.00 at the time of posting. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for overtime and benefits.
