About This Role
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing company while making a tangible impact at the intersection of AI and clean energy. The candidate will contribute to meaningful projects and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals in the field. The Business Development Intern will report to the Power Origination Manager and support the Energy BD team in a variety of initiatives, including synthesizing market research, identifying and engaging with key stakeholders, and sourcing top partnership opportunities.
What You'll be working on:
Conduct market research on emerging clean energy technologies, such as Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), battery energy storage systems (BESS), geothermal energy, etc.
Monitor and analyze policy developments in this rapidly evolving landscape, and share key updates with the team
Synthesize market insights and policy trends to shape Crusoe’s go-to-market strategy in power origination
Engage in outreach efforts to key stakeholders and build new relationships for Crusoe
Support the team in creating presentation materials to facilitate discussions with potential partners and clients
Identify top partnership opportunities by leveraging market analysis, technical research, and financial modeling
Assist the Power Origination Manager in deal negotiation processes
Support the Energy BD team in day-to-day cross-functional tasks, including financial modeling, project due diligence, GIS mapping, and client presentations
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, or similar. An MBA is a plus. Must be graduating Fall 2026 to Spring 2027.
2+ years of work experience in the energy field (preferred) and/or in a fast-growth environment, or equivalent internships/projects showcasing your experience
Motivated self-starter and team player, with the ability to work independently
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to synthesize complex market and technical data into actionable insights
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Attention to detail, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Interest in clean energy innovation
