General:
Manages Subcontracting coordination on a specific Carbon Clean equipment supply project for all equipment and material orders.
- Quickly establish work process to effectively integrate project needs into post order activity.
- Ensures those subcontracts have design & quality information and data as required to maintain/improve schedule and quality.
- Identify leading indicators of issues for delay and cost overrun that the project can be in a position to address early.
- Coordination of third parties assisting with expediting and inspections.
- Leads regular meetings with identified critical subcontractors, holding accountable against progress and quality plans
- Resolves subcontracts issues to maintain schedule and mitigate risk for the project.
- Assists with the resolution of claims.
- Enables and contributes to effective management of strategic subcontractor relationships related to supply chain activity on other Carbon Clean projects.
- Manages subcontract administration activities as assigned, including: running subcontractor meetings, drafting/reviewing/filing formal correspondence, and closeout of assigned subcontracts
- Internal interface with project management, engineering, quality, procurement, and logistics.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Business, Technical or related field, or relevant experience as substitute for a degree.
Seven (7) years of relevant experience in Subcontracts or Construction Project Management in the process industries or equivalent.
Skills:
- Sound understanding of subcontract processes and exhibits the capacity to effectively self-execute to support the Overall Project Manager’s needs.
- Possesses knowledge and understanding of commercial terms and conditions along with their practical application.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen
- Demonstrated history of taking effective ownership of a scope of work
