Reports To

Senior Manager, Embedded Platform Software QA

What You Will Be Doing
  • Drive technical decisions and architectural design for test automation infrastructure to better support CI/CD automation
  • Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing on embedded systems
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for embedded systems using tools such as Python, or specialized test automation frameworks for embedded software
  • Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing
  • Carry out performance, reliability, and regression testing to ensure long-term stability and robustness of embedded systems
  • Collaborate with development and hardware teams to understand requirements, design, and implementation to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Perform debugging, testing, and validation of embedded systems
  • Participate in system architecture design, code reviews, and project discussions
  • Document design specifications, system requirements, and test procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded system testing and automation framework development
  • Experience with embedded operating systems such as Linux, or other real-time OS (RTOS)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or any scripting languages used for test automation
  • Expertise with Jenkins, Git, SQL and other CI/CD automation testing tools
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), particularly in embedded environments
  • Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (UART, CAN, etc.) and tools like JTAG, debuggers, and emulators is a plus
  • Experience in Load/Performance testing is a plus
  • Possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, must be self-motivated, willing to learn new concepts, technologies and products quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $85,000 to $195,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
