We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our Home team in Copenhagen. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will create software that interfaces with electric vehicles, chargers, smart meters and more and makes it all effortless for the user. Monta will use the EUR 80M funding to double down on its successful software-only strategy by strengthening investments in all markets and improving and expanding its product to new sectors ready to embark on an electrified future.

We are looking for a talented Staff Data Scientist to join our team in Copenhagen. As a Staff Data Scientist at Monta, you will spearhead our modeling and algo efforts. This includes cool stuff like our Smart Charge algo or Fair Price Recommendation Engine.  If this sounds like you, we’re looking forward to seeing your application!

Key Responsibilities

• Own our modeling and algorithm efforts from end-to-end. This includes architecture, ETL, data processing, setting up production grade solutions, building an interface our product can interact with and making sure that stakeholders are happy with the results.
• Broaden the impact of ML models and algos across Monta. Work with relevant teams across the org to understand how modeling can help them achieve their goals. 
• Provide leadership in the data team and mentoring across the engineering team.
• Have a strong understanding and opinion on the overall technology roadmap and understand how modeling can impact our business.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years experience in relevant industry roles. 
• Broad experience with algorithms and building models, advanced knowledge of at least one subfield of machine learning. 
• Data engineering experience and strong understanding of data architecture.
• Experience with setting up software for lifecycle management of algorithms and models.
• Expert in Python and SQL. 
• Bonus for any compiled coding languages.
