You may be familiar with our app for EV drivers or our EV charging portal; Monta’s mission is to provide the best technology solutions for the entire EV charging cycle. At our core, we provide access, innovation, and reliability to the emobility transformation.

Why EV less when you can #EVBetter?

We’ve closed a huge Series B round! 80M EUR and soaring! Our journey so far? An expansion across various markets, prestigious #ISO27001 and B-Corp certifications, and proactive tech revolutionizing the EV charging experience. Not to mention, our growth has skyrocketed 6X since the last round, nearing 1 million monthly charging sessions, and 1,000 #EV drivers joining us daily! Monta will use the EUR 80M funding to double down on its successful software-only strategy by strengthening investments in all markets and improving and expanding its product to new sectors ready to embark on an electrified future.

Monta, a leader in EV charging software solutions, and pioneer in the global transition to electrification, is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to spearhead our US operations from Miami. This leadership role is central to launching Monta’s presence in the US, managing and expanding strategic and enterprise sales initiatives. Operating within a matrix structure, you will oversee a growing team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Account Executives (AEs), and Customer Success/Account Managers (CS/AMs). This role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with Monta’s CEO and other key executives relocating to the US, making it an integral part of our global strategy and success. The ideal candidate will embody a "player-coach" mentality, ready to directly engage with the team and customers to drive sales and ensure execution of deals.

(Some) of the things you will be doing:

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to establish and expand Monta's market presence in the US.

Recruit, manage, and scale a high-performing sales team projected to grow from 6 to 10 members in the first year, fostering a culture of success and innovation.

Oversee team dynamics and ensure effective collaboration within a matrix structure, with both dotted and direct reporting lines across SDRs, AEs, and CS/AMs.

Act as a player-coach by directly engaging in key deals, assisting with sales execution and leveraging hands-on involvement to drive revenue growth.

Provide strategic leadership and support to all sales functions, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and alignment with global business goals.

Collaborate and align with other regional sales leaders to ensure consistent customer experience

Drive the onboarding and professional development of new team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of the US market.

Actively engage with senior leadership to share insights and progress, and collaborate on refining global strategies to suit the US market specifics.

Represent Monta at industry events and in key negotiations, enhancing brand visibility and forging strategic partnerships.

Monitor and analyze sales performance, adapting strategies as necessary to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of sales leadership + 3-5 years of direct sales experience in technology, SaaS, or related industries, with a proven track record in market expansion and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex sales cycles and developing strategic sales initiatives within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Strong experience with sales forecasting, applying sales methodologies, and operating in a process-driven, high-performing organization.
  • A player-coach mentality, capable of rolling up sleeves to directly contribute to sales efforts and deal closures.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, manage, and mentor diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of making data-driven decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.
  • Able to show history of providing outside-the-box thinking to capture new markets and channels.
