Fluence is the leading global energy storage technology and services company, created and backed by Siemens and AES, two industry powerhouses and pioneers in energy storage. Fluence unites the scale, experience, breadth, and financial backing of the two most experienced icons in energy storage.
Our mission is to create a more sustainable future by transforming the way we power our world. Energy storage is critical to this transformation, yet today the market is fragmented and customers face the challenge of finding a trusted technology partner amidst conflicting technical claims, inexperienced vendors and installers, and new market entrants with limited power sector knowledge.

Key role responsibilities include:
Design SCADA interfaces to support real-time data acquisition, visualization, and control across various OT devices and systems.
Develop comprehensive documentation and design artifacts to meticulously capture and articulate solution designs, architectural decisions, and technology evaluations, ensuring clarity and accessibility for the development team, stakeholders, and future reference.
Ensure solution designs conform and comply with enterprise architecture standards and principles
Act as the primary point of contact for SCADA architecture-related inquiries.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to gather requirements and define use cases.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and implementation teams.
Evaluate solution alternatives that involve different architectures, design patterns, and frameworks covering both software and hardware domains.
Continuously assess and improve the performance and usability of SCADA platforms.
Proactively identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.

7+ years of experience designing and implementing SCADA systems in industries such as utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing, or transportation.
Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulatory guidelines such as ISA-95, IEC 61850, or NERC CIP
Proven expertise in PLC/RTU programming, SCADA protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC), and HMI design.
Strong understanding of industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP, wireless communications, and VPNs.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, data analytics, and IoT as they relate to SCADA systems.
Experience in evaluating and improving the performance, security, scalability, reliability, and robustness of large industrial-grade systems.
Ability to analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions or develop solutions to complex problems.
An ever expanding mind that is adept at conceptualizing complex ideas quickly and conveying those thoughts to others in a clear, effective, and motivating manner.
