Electrical Drafting Deliverables: Create, revise, and maintain essential electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials based on engineering redlines and specifications.
CAD System Integration: Champion the critical migration from AutoCAD Electrical to SolidWorks Electrical. This includes developing new best practices, creating standardized templates, and assisting with data conversion to ensure a smooth transition.
Process Improvement: Proactively evaluate existing drawing processes to identify opportunities for enhancement and increased efficiency, with a focus on optimizing workflows during the transition to new software.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Production, Procurement, and Engineering teams to ensure design intent is accurately and clearly represented in all electrical drawings and documentation.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Education: An Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field, or an equivalent combination of electrical drafting certifications and experience.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical CAD Designer or a similar drafting role, with proven experience in both SolidWorks Electrical and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
CAD Migration: Demonstrated experience in supporting or leading a transition to a new CAD software platform is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical drafting principles and standards, with a strong ability to read, understand, and accurately interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are essential for all deliverables.
Collaboration: Solid skills in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with engineering and production teams.
